Barieta Cottages offers self-catering accommodation in Mtwalume, a quaint coastal holiday & fishing village & well-kept secret destination, approximately 90 km south of Durban & 33 km from Scottburgh, in the Ugu District of Kwazulu Natal.

Accommodation comprises a holiday home and self-catering cottages.

Each option offers lovely sea views and comprises separate bedrooms and 1 or 2 private bathrooms. Each unit offers a well-equipped kitchen with appliances to cook meals and an open-plan living and dining area.

The kitchens are equipped to cater for the number of beds in each unit and the fridges have a freezer compartment.

Each unit has a BBQ/braai area on the verandah. Each unit has allocated parking for a car. A haven for cosy family stays, relaxing in the sun, swimming, fishing (various & abundant), dolphin watching, exploring rock pools & coral reefs, including spearfishing.

Migrating whales can be spotted from September to November. At night you fall asleep to the sounds of the ocean to enchant you on a journey made of stardust.
